Third Party Tools and Sites

Our teachers may use third party tools and sites in their classes or activities. You must review these requirements when listed for the class or activity.

Approved sites are those we have approved to be used, but there may be parameters, such as only using the anonymous links. Please see below for the approved and prohibited resources for children under 13. Classes for age 13 and over are not restricted to approved resources, but please review them carefully.

For more information on the review process, please see this support article.

To determine if third party tools and sites are appropriate, we review a variety of factors, such as: Does the site's privacy notice state it is or is not COPPA compliant? Does it state that it does not permit children under 13 or 18 on its site? What does the content have and is it safe for kids? Does it state that only teachers can use the tool for school purposes? and various other items.

Teachers who teach for schools and use certain tools should note that some of those tools are limited to school-use only, which does not apply to Outschool. Schools can give permission for use in place of parents sometimes, but only for formal, in-school use and the third party has not otherwise incorporated COPPA compliance.

*updated resources will be underlined so teachers and parents can readily identify additions. Last update January 4, 2023.
