Hi my name is Emily and this is my art piece, it’s called “My future” and this specific art also really inspires me because in the photo you can see she is sitting down on the ground and looking up at the moon and I do that a lot and if that was me I would be trying to listen to my older self or in fact to My future, but In this it’s like I’m obsessed with my future and I’m trying to get to know her better then I know myself right now.

I’m a digital artist, and I love to draw. The ability to create anything I imagine is what draws me to art, no matter how silly or weird it may be. I always look back at what I’ve created, feeling accomplished, motivated to continue with more. This artwork was inspired by my own feelings when I create, and how it allows me to make new, incredible worlds and characters with only the press of a pencil.

Despite the fact I am usually doing dragon-themed things, the thing that inspires me most is the night sky, the deep colors, and the stunning Northern Lights in this photo. I may not win, however, this piece of art was incredibly fun to draw, as well as it being the first detailed background/scenic picture I've ever done! Thank for you for reading!

My name is Amaya, and I LOVE doing art. This piece I have drawn was very fun. It makes me feel happy and proud. If I get the money I’ll split it with my brother and best friends. This piece was made by cutting out daffodils on paper and pasting it on the drawing made with pencil and marker. And to get the cloth effect I put a placemat under the paper and rubbed it with crayon. To get this opportunity to compete in this contest was amazing. Thank you,-Amaya.

I love to role play. So I'm very excited to get to enter in a drawing of one of my favorite characters. Gene Doe is one of my favorite original characters. He is 5'9, has dyed purple hair (though it is now literally unable to change due to a magical incident), and always has his guard up. This drawing portrays him in a moment of awareness and vulnerability. It's nice to see him get to be embarrassed.

My name is Agastya. I love painting, especially scenes from nature and the universe. Painting gives me peace and happiness. When I see the beauty of the world, it inspires me to explore more and imagine what lies beyond our boundaries. It also reminds me how important it is to take care of our Mother Earth and keep it beautiful by cleaning and recycling. Since life exists only on this planet, we all have a responsibility to protect it.

My name is Evan and I am 11 years old from Phoenix, Arizona. Growing up in Arizona, my inspiration is the desert sunset of the Sonoran. Some people don’t view the desert as beautiful, but I do. I love looking out at the magnificent mountains, the tall Sahuaro Cacti, and the sun falling behind the landscape. The desert view inspires me to explore and see what lies beyond the mountains. I am color blind, so I chose to create this artwork in a black and white sketch, showing detail in the shading.

From time to time, a specific fascination emerges from the back of my mind: what would various objects and animals look like if they were humans? How would they act as people? What kind of occupations would they take up within society? The term “gijinka” means to personify a non-human object or creature, and designing gijinkas has always been a source of exploration for me! I hope this inspires you to draw inspiration from various household items - they could make fascinating characters!

Hi! My name is Oliver, and recently I've been super fixated on the game Undertale so I decided to draw my favorite character from it, Mettaton! This drawing was my first attempt at doing vibrant/shiny rendering and I am very proud at how I did. Undertale as a game is super comforting to me as the story is so compelling and easy to come back to. The fact my art has now reached the level of being able to portray one of my favorite characters *ever* makes my heart so happy. Thank you for reading 🖤

Hi! My name is Sami and I am 16 yrs old. I want to be a fashion designer when I'm older, so I decided to do a fashion inspired piece. From left to right the different era's are: Ancient Greece, Renaissance, Victorian, 1950's and Modern Day. Ancient Greece is an extra special era to me as I love Greek Mythology. My picture shows the ladies holding hands to represent the various era's of fashion history that designers still draw upon today.
I love animals, especially my lamb Daisy. Spending time with her has helped me notice how playful and full of personality lambs can be. Watching Daisy run, jump, and explore inspired me to imagine a story where she could jump right out of a book and into the real world. Creating this piece made me feel happy and proud. It reminds me of the joy I feel when I spend time with Daisy. I hope people who see my artwork feel the same sense of fun, imagination, and love for animals that inspired me.

I’ve moved a lot throughout my life, and along the journey I have been inspired by the people around me. I was born in St.Louis, then moved to Connecticut, then to Shanghai, back to St.Louis, and I’m currently in Chicago. I made a ton of friends but also said goodbye to many of them. My painting depicts two people promising to stay in touch and how much their friendship means. My friends inspire me as a person and I could’t ask for better friends.

I love making art and using bright colors. My artwork shows a sweet birthday celebration with a piece of cake that looks like ice cream. I was inspired by birthdays, celebrations, and sweet treats. I used bright colors and sprinkles to make it feel fun and exciting, like a party. The candle represents making a wish. This artwork makes me feel happy, excited, and remembering special moments.

I really love both reading and art, so I was inspired to sketch this dragon eye in graphite by the dragon king Kazul from the Enchanted Forest Chronicles (the series was written by Jessica Day George, if anyone is interested 🙂). Kazul is my favorite dragon of all time because she is so witty and clever, and she is a strong female character AND the best friend of the main character in the series. Dragon eyes—especially this one—make me feel calm, centered, and empowered.

Hi! I’m Arianna and I chose this piece because it’s inspired by my favorite book series; Wings of Fire. Misty is my OC which stands for original character. I drew her standing on a cliff, surrounded by a lake. In the background there’s a foggy forest, that represents her home. The process of making this sketch was very challenging but the result feels extremely rewarding. I hope you like it!

I have been a natural artist since I was little. My art styles are mainly realism and anime. This art piece, “Aileen”, was inspired from some of the work of a professional anime artist and is my newest original character. In this piece, I tried to include some defining details of her personality and her own style choices. She sports a playful expression, sailor outfit and bangs. She may inspire me to draw anime more often in the future as I feel she showcases my artistic capability.

All the colors of the buildings represent different emotions like how the bright colored ones represent happiness, excitement, and joy, and the ones on the more darker side represent curiosity, anger, and sadness but above all those feelings are a sunny bright sky with beautiful clouds that all look like a painting and I wanted to draw what this feeling is like, thank you if you voted for me!!

When You stand in an art museum you get Immersed in cultures, feelings, and different time periods. When l look at an art piece l get to feel something from the artist perspective. I think it’s amazing to see peoples dreams, get brought to life on a canvas. That’s my Favorite part of the art museum. I love drawing. The moment when my pencil touches the paper I have the freedom to create whatever I want and to truly express myself.

I love all the colors of the rainbow and take every opportunity to use lots of them. Originally, I wanted to create a different picture using acrylic on canvas, but it did not turn out the way I dreamed of. After a bit of trial and error, patience, and determination, I created A Fish Out of Water with liquid paint, straws and brushes. Creating this picture taught me not to give up on an idea and not to be afraid of adjusting my plans. This painting makes me feel happy and proud.

My name is Juniper and I am 10 years old. My artwork titled Unicorns in New York symbolizes possibility. Even in tough times, imagination can carry us somewhere new. That is why possibility inspires me the most, it can become anything and I want that for everyone!
A pickup truck made from LEGO is towing a catamaran, showing my love for fast vehicles on land and water. The small LEGO kid in the black jiu-jitsu uniform is me right now, still learning and working hard. The taller LEGO figure next to him is future me, who has reached all my goals and dreams. It’s like a picture of where I am and where I’m going, all built into one scene.

Hello. my name is Gracie Austin and I am 15 years old. My piece pictures a dark abyss that would seem to go on forever, but, in that darkness there is a beautiful sunset, something you would only be able to see it if you took the chance to look over the edge of that abyss. In my picture I used the dove to symbolize the hope/peace within the abyss as its wings reflect the sunset. I was inspired to do this piece because even in dark times there is always hope, if you look close enough. -Thank you.

I want to be an astronomer when I grow up. I love learning about space, stars, and planets. How fun it would be if I could travel to space, visit other planets, and see the stars up close! I want to organize space tours for fellow galactic travelers so that we can all enjoy the beauty and wonder of space together.

I’m an artist and percussionist. The leaf in the picture is a real leaf that exists. I got the leaf on a visit in Opelousas, LA to see a professional artist that has artwork in museums. Her name is Mare Martin and she is also a gardener. The leaf came from her garden and I painted a still life of it. I creatively added the background from my imagination. When I painted it, I was excited thinking about the colors and how to make it cool. I had fun with it.

This painting is inspired by SZA’s SOS album cover, where she’s sitting alone at the edge of a diving board surrounded by the ocean. That image was based on a famous photo of Princess Diana sitting the same way on a yacht in 1997. I wanted to capture a similar feeling of isolation and not belonging, even as the world watches. The blue tones represent calm on the outside but sadness underneath.

My name is Mercy and I'm 15 years old. Music has always greatly inspired me and I wanted to make a piece that represents that. I have a dream to visit California someday and make my own music, a dream that was in part inspired by one of my favorite bands, Incubus.

My name is Micah and I enjoy sketching and drawing animated characters in my free time. When I am not drawing I also enjoy playing baseball. This sketch represents some characters from Guardians of the Galaxy. This inspired my piece because the characters are not real and allow me to use my imagination. I enjoy drawing unusual characters that you wouldn't see in real life.

I got a large piece of Douglas Fir bark from my grandparents' wood pile. They live out in the country and have a lot of trees and flowers on their property. I love spending time out there, building forts and picking bouquets, and that inspired me to create "Meadow on Douglas Fir." When I look at it, I feel peaceful.
I’m Aly and I love creating stories that bring light and joy into the world. Motivated by the love of my family and one of my favorite books, Pilgrim’s Progress, my animation follows a little fire fox that goes on a journey to find her long-lost relatives. I wanted to illustrate the importance of perseverance and that everyone has a place where they can belong. Sharing this message with others gives me hope that it will inspire the viewers to connect with and love their families well.

I am inspired by so many things, everyday: Media—with my favourite mysteries and my sister’s desperately awkward romance anime. Work—with the vast number of stories I see in shifts at the library. Family—with my sister’s brilliant mind and own art pushing me to create. In this piece, I wanted to combine all my inspirations through the lens of a day at my desk, with scenes popping off paper scraps in a self portrait of artistic inspiration.

I really enjoyed making this self portrait. It reflects the most dignified version of myself, and really speaks to the responsibilities a hold. I painted this piece with acrylic markers, and I spent a whole afternoon on it rather than doing my Homework…don’t worry I still got the homework done. :D what do you think? Worthy of a vote?

My name is Max. I live in a tiny village in Alaska at my families' sled dog kennel. I am homeschooled and I have been learning pencil drawing with Mrs. Shelby on Outschool. I have created this drawing of the three youngest puppies to show how much they mean to me. The dogs inspire me to try my best and get better at doing things with them. The dogs always have a positive attitude and approach new things with excitement.

2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese lunar calendar. Both my grandpas, from my dad’s side and my mom’s side, were born in the Year of the Horse. I like horses because they are cool and strong. I drew a horse’s head for the Year of the Horse and used my imagination to make it special. I felt very happy while making this artwork. I hope people smile when they see my horse.

Hello, my name is Heidi. I made this piece because nature inspires me–it’s one of my biggest inspirations! The girl in the dress is me, being inspired by the beautiful world around us! By my house, poppies bloom on the hills around this time, and it’s beautiful. You can see mountains in the distance that are just a perfect backdrop, especially when there are clouds. I think nothing is more inspiring than nature, and that's why I made this piece showcasing that.

I love digital art and I love the Warrior Cats books, so I drew a Clan walking to the Gathering on the island. A Gathering is where all five Clans meet on the island in peace to report their news and let their warriors socialize. This inspires me because I like seeing the world from a different point of view. Also, seeing different clans come together in peace gives me hope that humans can do the same.

Hi, my name is Malcolm and I am taking a few of the Outschool drawing classes. This art piece was inspired by a horror game called Poppy Playtime, where all the toys in a toy factory come to life to take revenge on their creators. I enjoy the game very much because it’s not too scary and I find the characters really fun to draw. I really enjoyed making this piece and I hope you enjoy it too.

Hello my name is Sophie, and I created this art because I wanted to make something calming and not to crazy. I really enjoyed making this piece, it made me feel passionate and calm. In this piece, this bear came to the park to have a fun day on her bike. She is hoping you like this art. I hope you enjoyed looking at my piece!

This artwork was inspired by my love of bright colors, which reminds of my personality, and, birds! I enjoy creating digital art because it allows me to experiment with blending colors and trying new techniques. I used what I learned from practicing digital painting to create a cheerful bird with a colorful, imaginative background. Art makes me happy because I can turn ideas in my mind into something beautiful to share with others.

My art was inspired by the wide open prairies of America. On my cross country road trip to South Dakota I found my love for Prairie sunsets. When I think of the Prairie, it makes me feel free like every hill and sunset holds a new beginning or fresh start. I chose to use Linda Stephen’s style of art to make my prairie sunset because I wanted to experiment with collages.

My name is Sebi and I love penguins. I invented a world where there's a team of Ninja Penguins that save other animals and defeat evil bad guys. In this painting they're celebrating after saving all the other penguins that were captured by Evil Richard and put in a zoo. They're all free now and the Ninja Penguins are having tea! Ninja Kick KaPow!

Hello! My name is Ellie. I am so grateful to be in this competition. I love art, especially drawing anime and chibi. I'm less focused on winning and more on showing everyone what I can create!:)(although winning would be great;)) I've been drawing for about a year.

My name is Sercie, and I love capturing people and their expressions in my art. I have five siblings (three biological), so I’m always surrounded by different personalities that inspire my drawings. I did my entire kindergarten year on Outschool, and my teacher Shelby is still in my life today. Art is my escape and a way to express myself. I created this piece on my tablet using a digital pencil and focused on giving the character a playful, confident personality.

I like writing mystery stories. I drew this picture of the Benevolent Lodge Mystery Group to incorporate into a story idea. As I drew, I felt like I was stepping into their world—almost like I was one of the members. It made me feel curious, imaginative, and proud, because the more I worked, the more the group’s personality came to life on the page.

I woke up one morning with a burst of energy and the urge to create something, and even without a plan, the image of a hot air balloon came to mind and felt right to follow. I wanted this piece to reflect a calm and peaceful feeling, so I focused on creating a sense of stillness through the overall mood. This artwork represents how no matter where life takes you, there will always be a place to pause, breathe, and simply exist, showing the importance of finding peace in the journey.

I take a lot of insporation from the things I watch and write. This drawing is of one of my characters from a writing group I'm in. The character is a chaotic menace, who is bored all the time.
