I’m a weaver and garment maker who pushes each project to teach me something new. I wove the striped, polka dot, and solid fabrics on an 8-shaft loom using the yarn shown, then constructed these boots from scratch on a last. This was my first time making boots. The project involved shaping with heat and stiffeners, setting grommets, securing heels, and adding leather trim. I love polka dots for both their look and structural challenge. This piece reflects my process: learning by doing.

Hello! I'm Lucy and I love dinosaurs. I love Art, specifically paleoart, too. I wanted my art piece to look like you just took a picture of a dinosaur, who might be scared of a volcano. I want the piece to make you feel like you've been swept away by some mysterious force that took you to the Mesozoic era, and instead of thinking that everything is in chaos, all you can think is "Wow, the wonders of Earth".

Hi, my name is Helen. I love drawing and painting because they make me feel happy. My artwork, “A Beautiful Morning at My School,” is inspired by a Minecraft theme. It shows the happy memories I have at school. It is a bright spring morning with the sun shining in a clear blue sky. School buses and cars are busy as they drop off children. The children are wearing their uniforms and look excited because they love coming to school to learn, play, and be with their friends.

I was inspired by the book “Impossible Creatures” by Katherine Rundell. It is one of my favorite books. I think that this piece represents how a lot of people want to “fly” and I wanted to remind people that nothing is impossible. This work is one of my best ones given the amount of time I wanted to complete it in, and viewing it fills me with immense delight.

Why I drew this picture of Kirby, Meta Knight, Bandana Waddle Dee, King Dedede, Marx, and Parasol Waddle Dee is because it reminds me of my childhood playing all different kinds of Kirby on the Wii, GameCube, and SNES. I always played with my mom so it is a thing with us to play Kirby cause we love it. Marx is my favorite character because I think he resembles me in his wild goofy way. Plus I'm short and good at balancing on balls.

My name is Freya and I created the Snow Fox. I used acrylics on canvas. I wanted to capture my love for animals and winter. I used a cool tone color pallette. The tail was tricky, I learned a lot about how to get the shape just right. I also like drawing flowers and dogs. I enjoy swimming, gymnastics, Scratch and love art.

Hi, my name is Charlotte! This is my drawing featuring my OCs named Cameron (bottom) and Hyun (top). They went through a lot together, but Cameron couldn't save Hyun from the things and people hurting him. Cameron now has to live with the possibility that one day he will slowly forget Hyun's face, then his voice, and then him altogether.

Hi, my name is Oscar and I love planes, Pokémon and robots. I was inspired to create this because I wanted to make a comic strip about a little robot. The main character is called Artbot and he lives on a harsh junk planet in space but, suddenly a spaceship above explodes and flaming parts fall out of the sky! Since I wanted a happy ending, in the end he gets back up and starts again turning a bad thing into a good thing! Since its volume 1, I'm going to make more comics about robots in space.

I love the ocean which is what inspires most of my art. Also the same with my family which is why I add them together. I feel like nature, family, music, & friends are what makes me happy - my art is my happy life. I named my piece "Family Evolution" because humans evolved from water! In the art there is a mountain; I was named after a mountain; McKinley. Finally, I included my Ipad because that is how I connect with my world and my art and it has my favorite vinyl album - it mean a lot to me!

My name is Emilio and I love drawing because you can tell a story in your own way. I learned about the meteor shower which killed dinosaurs and that inspired me to draw Robo Dino. In this story the meteor shower causes fire and Robo Dino was the only dinosaur to survive. He lost parts of his body but found a robot body that he used to save himself. Now he is happy to start a new life in the city. This drawing makes me feel happy that the dinosaur survived and escaped the fire.

I was inspired to paint the desert during one of my watercolor classes in Outschool. I liked the subject because, even in the rough & rocky terrain you can find something beautiful. I like cactuses because they can survive through the toughest weather and still make it. It’s important to remember that even if you get discouraged - you are the cactus…you can survive anything! I don’t actually live where cactuses grow, so imagining them was my challenge.

I really enjoy art and think it is very fun and intresting. I enjoyed painting this piece because it reflects a city at dusk. It makes me want to go outside and look at nature. It also gives me the feeling of riding in a car and looking out the window, seeing in the city.

My piece is inspired by Mom. She has loved me through everything and she will continue to inspire me throughout my life. The sun, moon, and star represent how a mother’s love is big enough to fill a universe. The tree and roots represent her steadiness and commitment.

Hi! My name is Anita and I always get inspired when I go outside to the nature. It calms all my stress away while I sense all the peace coming to me. I see the plants flowing, and I hear the wind gently brush in my ear. In this artwork, I make sure I include everything about what I feel about nature and how it inspires me.

I’m Harper. I love to read and art. My favorite colors are pink, green, and yellow. I love butterflies and they have never been in the sea before and I wanted to let her explore a new world. The sea creatures welcome her and are kind to her. It makes me feel happy and proud that she is brave enough to explore somewhere new.

I am a student who enjoys drawing and expressing my feelings through art. This artwork shows a child holding the Earth, which represents my hope for world peace. I was inspired by the idea that even small hands can protect our planet. Creating this piece makes me feel calm and hopeful, and it reminds me to care for others and the world we share.

Hi, I’m Aster, I’m 14 I love learning about the natural world, especially birds. I’ve decided to digitally draw 13 of my personal favourite bird species. from left to right; Common crow, Rufous-green kingfisher, European starling, Ruffed grouse, White-throated magpie-jay, Red-headed woodpecker, Eurasian siskin, Steller’s jay, Costa’s hummingbird, Great blue heron, Blue crane, Crested coua, Domesticated goose. I drew this in procreate. It took me 13 hours making it one of my hardest works yet.

Hello!! My name is Elyssa, and I’ve been drawing before I can remember, but started getting more into art at about 9 years old. I love both led sketching and drawing with colored pencils, so I figured I’d combine the two! This drawing is a recreation of a drawing that I made a few years back. I love animals, and I really hope this drawing inspires people to take care of and protect the environment, as well as the creatures being affected by litter and deforestation every day. Thank you! :D

I was inspired to make this piece using memories of watermelon popsicles that I used to eat as a kid while in the park alone. Whenever I draw I feel inspired my loneliness and sadness. In the corner is shown the popsicle stick being thrown out with the words "won". The Watermelon popsicles I used to eat often had a win or lose system as I cute gimmick, and it being thrown out shows how some people do not feel bothered by winning even in small amounts.
My name is Remy and I love drawing and animals! This art piece was made because we were studying the Amazon and I picked an animal to draw. This inspired a series of time-lapse sketches. It makes me feel proud.

My name is Luca, and I love Poppy Playtime. Some people think it’s scary, but I think it’s exciting and full of mystery. I like figuring out what will happen next and imagining how I would escape. It feels like an adventure in my brain. It makes me feel curious, brave, and proud when I solve things, even if they’re a little scary.

I have a favorite tree in my grandma’s yard that feels a little magical. It is kind of hidden and I enjoy climbing up and sitting in it. My dog Skibby will often follow me. I also love the Fall and all fairytales so I added in things like the pumpkins and the little gnome. I also love fashion, so I designed a dress I would love to wear with little white butterflies on it. I enjoy drawing, painting and working with clay, so this art piece combines all of these things together.

Hi, my name is Dmitri. My grandpa taught me how to do stained glass several years ago. I love marine biology and anything having to do with oceans. I have a friend who has a salt water aquarium and her angelfish was born without a tail. I created my very own pattern for this stained glass window. It was a lot of fun to work on and have to learn where my glass points needed to be.

I really love cherry blossoms. I also really love drawing people wearing ruffled clothing or wrinkles. The two just formed together on my paper. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I had considered adding pink, but when I set my pencil down, it just felt finished.

I got a large piece of Douglas Fir bark from my grandparents' wood pile. They live out in the country and have a lot of trees and flowers on their property. I love spending time out there, building forts and picking bouquets, and that inspired me to create "Meadow on Douglas Fir." When I look at it, I feel peaceful.

I enjoy painting because it allows my creativity and imagination to come alive on canvas. This drawing captures a white-tailed deer who is wandering in woods without any fear and hesitation. I get inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding us including plants, animals and surreal nature. This reminds us that boundaries and rules are for humans, we should be free to wander, explore and choose our path to success.

My piece, Moonlight From Within, is inspired by Columbina from Genshin Impact. I like how she seems calm and peaceful, but also powerful in a quiet way. The broken moon pieces she’s holding represent that the light is part of her. Even if something feels shattered or incomplete, it can still glow and be beautiful. I wanted it to feel like her strength comes from inside. This piece makes me feel calm and thoughtful. It reminds me that even in darker moments, there is still light within you.

My name is Max. I live in a tiny village in Alaska at my families' sled dog kennel. I am homeschooled and I have been learning pencil drawing with Mrs. Shelby on Outschool. I have created this drawing of the three youngest puppies to show how much they mean to me. The dogs inspire me to try my best and get better at doing things with them. The dogs always have a positive attitude and approach new things with excitement.

I seriously don’t know why I made this, I was lying in bed and I had a sudden thought about drawing a snake, then I just built on that. Everything below the collarbone on the skeleton is based of a Google image, the rest is from my imagination, hence why the snakes look like gummy worms 🐛. Uhhhh I don’t know what to put…I spent around maybe 6-8 hours on it, during class periods, and I was really scared to color the snakes because it was my first time using shading and blending with color. Tysm!

My name is Thaddeus, and I love insects! They're different than any other creature, and even though they're small, I figured out that they have certain abilities that mammals don't. I think it would be cool to be an insect for a day. If I were a dragonfly, I would fly around and kill all of the annoying mosquitoes.

Hi,I'm Olivia I drew this during Covid while worried about things in the world & we stayed at home a lot. First the virus, sick people, then the fires in our neighborhood, houses burnt, smoke was everywhere. I saw littering everywhere too at the beach and water showed high bacteria. The world felt stressed like me. I wished for something to change all of that. Learning flags of countries in geography made me think of creating a world peace sign & a hope drawing for things to get better one day.

I'm from Canada where there is lots of snow right now. I enjoy going to the zoo and watching the snow leopards. When I look at the snow leopard in my picture, I think about how much I love to go outside and play in the snow. I like to build snow forts, have snow ball fights and go for snowmobile rides. I also like to play with my 2 out door cats who remind me of the snow leopard.

Hello, my name is Charlotte and I'm so happy to be in this contest! Something that inspired my art was the beautiful, colorful city and the beauty of being up high to see it, and at the same time feeling a calm stillness of being alone and sitting in the rain. I also really wanted to put my OC Nauro in it, and having him looking down on the city, which I think came out really nice! I really hope you like my art!

Hello. my name is Gracie Austin and I am 15 years old. My piece pictures a dark abyss that would seem to go on forever, but, in that darkness there is a beautiful sunset, something you would only be able to see it if you took the chance to look over the edge of that abyss. In my picture I used the dove to symbolize the hope/peace within the abyss as its wings reflect the sunset. I was inspired to do this piece because even in dark times there is always hope, if you look close enough. -Thank you.

Hello I am Penelope. This is a graphite pencil drawing of my great great grandma Louis. I used tan paper to replicate the old photograph of her. The part that I struggle with the most was her hair because it was curled up and in the corner of the picture. This photo &the woman in it inspire me because she is a part of history, she grew up as a sher cropper &had to help in the fields picking cotton

Hi, my name is Tozer. I like building with Lego, reading (especially Wings of Fire and Harry Potter). I also taking walks in nature as well as drawing and painting. I also play the piano. I was inspired by a stormy night on the ocean. It makes me feel very intrigued. I think it has a mysterious air to it, especially the empty red boat that stands out against the rest of the painting.

2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese lunar calendar. Both my grandpas, from my dad’s side and my mom’s side, were born in the Year of the Horse. I like horses because they are cool and strong. I drew a horse’s head for the Year of the Horse and used my imagination to make it special. I felt very happy while making this artwork. I hope people smile when they see my horse.

My piece describes the changes in my life. The time on the clock, 8:20 is around the time that I was born, an important key detail in my life. Some other changes in my life were moving houses, changing schools, and learning to love swim. The wide variety of colors I used in my artwork, they are all different, even in the slightest bit. This represents how everyone is different, and you can be your own self. No one don't need to feel ashamed, because everyone is unique in their own way.

My artwork, Carmel Pups by the Sea, was inspired by the puppies I saw on Carmel Beach during Spring Break two years ago. I wanted to capture how cute and playful they looked together, and this painting makes me feel calm and relaxed because it reminds me of a special day by the ocean.

I am Luca and I painted this because I love animals and I really like polar bears.

This art piece was inspired by one of my favorite stuffed animals, Peanut Butter. My family went to a cow farm where we got to feed adorable highland cows. My favorite cow looked just like the stuffed animal I picked out and named Peanut Butter. I also love sparkles and bright colors. My art has lots of color and sparkle, just like me!

Hello, my name is Aisha. The artwork I made was created digitally and was inspired by gardens full of flowers and lakes. The scenery is supposed to be very calm and cheerful; however, the focus is also on the marionette. Her expression is very tense, and she seems scared despite her surroundings. This is to create a mood of discomfort, since the scenery is deceptive, because despite how serene the area is, she seems fearful. It makes the viewer inquire why she has a troubled expression.

Doctor Doom is occasionally a villain, but usually just a nice leader trying to do what's right for his people, and he protects his country from sickness. Iron Man is a billionaire named Tony Stark who was not the best or nicest guy, but turned himself around and became the super hero Iron Man. That is a quick overview of the characters. They inspire me to work hard and be a good person too.
