My piece was inspired by Dr. Seuss "The Lorax" and by the plaque that the Apollo 11 astronauts left on the Moon, declaring that they had come in peace for all mankind. Both inspired the main idea of the piece: everyone and everything is dependent upon everyone and everything else, and together we can do almost anything. Apollo 11 also gave my piece it's theme: space! I feel like I did a good job, especially on the Moon, and that my piece conveys what it's meant to convey.

This piece is inspired by my parents. The tree represents growth, strength, and the ability to adapt to stress. The dove symbolizes peace. This work represents how i look at the world, instead of being angry at little things, it allows me to change my ways and Look at the things for the better.ultimately showing that even if you struggle, you can pick it right back up. Showing how it represents my development in my skills, not just as an artist but as a person.

I am a young artist just trying to express my creativity. My piece is inspired by a fictional character from a Dungeons and Dragons YouTube Channel and it is one of my favorite recent artworks. I am hoping to turn my artistic abilities into a career—from drawing, animating, writing, singing, playing the double bass, my life is built around art. I love this piece because the process helped me learn so much and continue adapting my style. It’s very aesthetically pleasing to me and I’m proud of it.

I'm a 12 year old who loves to draw. I'm inspired by the things I like or find interesting. Lately, I draw a lot of pieces from the ocean such as octopus, jelly fish, and other sea life. I enjoy all kinds of art and I love to practice drawing every day. I hope to learn more. I named this piece "The Underneath" based on where we find octopus. They live deep in the ocean. They are fascinating creatures!

I hope that people feel happy when they see this drawing. I fed a rainbow lorikeet at the National Aviary, and I wanted to show the beautiful colors and really great feeling to everyone. I made colorful flowers and ants going weeee and jumping around with friends because all of nature is special and my favorite.

I love bright colors and cool textures. I am always looking for fun ways to make my art pop! I was inspired by Pop Art and how one thing can look so different in a bunch of colors. I used bubble wrap as a stamp for the background. It looks like giant sprinkles. It was so satisfying to dip the bubbles in paint and press them down! This art work makes me feel happy and energized. All the neon colors remind me of a sunny summer day when I’m about to eat my favorite ice cream!

Hello! I’m Eva, and I’ve created a drawing inspired by Ejae. The doodles in the center represent lyrics from her songs. She began singing Kpop songs at 3, but was rejected as a Kpop trainee at 23 after 10+ years of very hard work. The stripes represent her hardship. Yet Ejae didn’t give up, and is now a singer/songwriter, and the singing voice of Rumi from “Kpop Demon Hunters”. She can relate to the character a lot, herself. The color splotches represent emotion. I love drawing and music, too.

Nature has always inspired and delighted me. I believe there is a story hidden in everything, and my ambition is to capture that in my art. This sketch expresses my feeling as I grow roots in a new community. "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere." - Vincent van Gogh

My name is Zachary and I like reading, sketching, and playing tabletop role playing games. For this piece, I wondered what it would be like to be at the bottom of a puddle looking up through it as if it was a window to see who was looking down. I'm proud of it, and it makes me feel happy and relaxed.

All the colors of the buildings represent different emotions like how the bright colored ones represent happiness, excitement, and joy, and the ones on the more darker side represent curiosity, anger, and sadness but above all those feelings are a sunny bright sky with beautiful clouds that all look like a painting and I wanted to draw what this feeling is like, thank you if you voted for me!!

My name is River. For most of my life, the ocean, the city, art and games have inspired me. I grew up by the ocean, the salty sea makes me happy. I've always loved the tech lights and tall buildings in cities like New York and Tokyo. I love video games, particularly retro-games. As you can see, I also love art, especially drawing, building and acting. And of course I love cats!

Hello! My name is Nadia. Ever since I was a kid all forms of art have inspired me whether that be music, painting, writing, or even little things in nature! My piece aims to incorporate how art connects with and inspires me, and I hope all of those veiwing it can experience that sense of joy from art too :))

My name is Emma! This piece is of my OC Saito. He loves to read and is the nerd of the group. I decided to draw him because I relate to him and I love to read:)

My name is Koven and I was inspired by the desert. I love where I live with its tall saguaro cactus, warm sun, and even tumbleweeds and dirt. I like to wear a hat when the sun is hot and I thought it would be funny to show that on the saguaro cactus too! The desert is full of texture and I had fun using lots of mediums and textures in my piece!

This piece shows what it's like to be me. My brain is wired differently than many people’s, so I notice things and understand the world in my own way. Like me, the figure is vulnerable, but also calm and focused. The shapes above me are the things that help me orientate and stay attached to the world, like time, patterns, and space. Showing the world what it's like to be me makes me feel strong.

I made this piece based off of a book that I read. In the book, this girl (Willa), has a satchel, and it is full of all these little trinkets as shown on the artwork, including jewelry and bows. This drawing makes me feel proud, because I think that it turned out really well and really captured the feel of the book.

Hello, I’m Hayden! I love to read, play sports, write, draw dragons, etc. I’ve been doing art class with Ms. April Taylor for a year, and before that, I have been taking other Outschool art classes. If I’m being honest, the inspiration for my painting came from a watercolor class with Ms. April Taylor. It made me feel extremely happy because of the outcome, since water color isn’t my strong suit. I owe my teacher a huge, clap clap clap and thanks! Thank you so much for your time! -Hayden

Hi, my name is Corissa. My dream is to be an artist when I grow up and if you pick my painting it would mean the world to me. This is a painting about a girl bunny named Pinky and a boy bunny named Bob, and in this scene they are having a picnic enjoying the day. Thank you for the consideration.

Hi I am Eric, I painted a story about a angry cat chasing a small golden mouse. The cat's anger is like the thunder and lightning, they strike toward the mouse. The mouse is scared but also brave, it doges the strikes and will reach to it's home. Inside the cave, there is a TNT prepared, if the cat follows, it will be trapped.

Minecraft is a game that does more than entertain me; it inspires me to be more creative and attentive to the world around me. It pushes me to think outside the box and focus on the quality of everything I create. I drew the baby pig and dog because they're my favorite animals in this game. They've inspired me to build many structures and habitats in-game. I wanted to show them in a cinematic way to show how my favorite parts of Minecraft give me ideas for what to create next.
I’m Aly and I love creating stories that bring light and joy into the world. Motivated by the love of my family and one of my favorite books, Pilgrim’s Progress, my animation follows a little fire fox that goes on a journey to find her long-lost relatives. I wanted to illustrate the importance of perseverance and that everyone has a place where they can belong. Sharing this message with others gives me hope that it will inspire the viewers to connect with and love their families well.

This piece was inspired by my oc Valkyrie. She is kind of a neutral evil type of character who gets annoyed easily. I wanted to draw her angry as I have drawn her happy a lot so I wanted to try something new. I made this piece using watercolors and paint pens. Thank you for reading!

Hi my name is Everley and this is my self portrait. I painted it because I wanted to create something that inspires other people. Self portraits are special pieces to create and I want people to know how beautiful they are, even if they’re in a place they normally aren’t. My portrait takes place in the mountains, which is one of my favorite places to visit.

My name is Carter. I love to draw; it has been my favorite thing to do since I was two years old. I really love lions and big cats, so I decided to draw one. I don't just love drawing them but learning about them to! It makes me feel like I want to be with a lion. I hope that you enjoy my drawing as much as I do!!! Vote for meeee!!!!!

My name is Izzy. I have two pet bunnies. I like to play outside and ride my bike. I drew my picture for my Outschool animal drawing class. I chose a clown fish because i thought it would be interesting to do its patterns. Also, I know they have bright colors and I wanted to see what it looked like with shading instead of colors. I feel happy and accomplished with how my drawing came out!

This piece of art was inspired by classic ancient Chinese art. I developed a passion for watercolor when I was 11, instantly falling in love with the way you can play with imperfections, mix colors, and create movement on the page. When I look at this painting, I imagine the smooth way the koi move through the water. It makes me feel peaceful and wonder what it might feel like to be a koi—so calm and carefree.

I have been so lucky to find great art teachers on outschool. I always wanted to learn oli painting and I found the best teacher on outschool. I made this piece for my grandfather because he has eagles that come by a pond near his house. I love painting because when I paint nothing else exists. The only thing that matters is the painting. I never worry about other stuff I just get lost in creating.

The main two things that inspired my piece are 1. the stars, and 2. my love for Greek art. I wanted to incorporate the process I once learned the Greeks commonly used to properly create "beautiful" women and "handsome" men (typically the Archimedean spiral) as well as the art worthy equations that explain the creations, movements, and positions of nebulas, energy, and matter. In the end, I wanted the piece to feel inspiring, dramatic, and free.

Hi! My name is Mackenzie and I just turned 10 years old. I am inspired by my older sisters and of how amazing artist they are. I hope to keep on growing with my artwork and keep on learning. I am very proud of my face. It was really really fun to draw and I am exited to see draw and maybe paint more things like it. I love doing realistic art and compering it to my other pictures and seeing how it changed. Thank you so much for reading this! Bye!

Hello, I’m Ella and this piece was inspired by my family’s trip to The San Diego Museum of Art at Balboa Park in San Diego, California. I found myself drawn to the old still life paintings. Oil painting takes so much time, days to even weeks between layers, and something about going through all the effort to preserve this little moment really drew me in. While I’ve taken a few art classes in more modern styles and mediums, after this trip I picked up oil painting completely self taught.

My rendition of Starry Night Sky makes me feel nostalgic. When I first saw it as a little kid I was curious about how the swirls were painted. I always wanted to try it out for myself. I felt if I tried I would be able to paint it in a way that tells a story about me, who I am.

I got into art a few years ago. I tried out different styles, and I found I enjoyed fantasy drawings. My inspiration for this drawing was to make people feel as if they were in a fantasy world. The dragon I drew, the colors I used, and my background all conveyed a world of myths. It made me feel imaginative, creative, and proud of my work. I hope to create more pieces like this.

My name is Maeva, I've been drawing realistic and cartoon since I was very young. My personal favorite style of drawing is anime; it's opened up such a massive world for me and lets me be inspired everyday by the wonders found in the small details. I decided to draw this picture with one of my favorite shows in mind, I hope to make my own series and one day be able to include this scene I have created, I hope this brings you as much joy as it brought me, to make and present to you.

In this piece, I showed what I include in a lot of my art. My differences, they are what make me unique, and what I love most about myself. In this drawing I am the rainbow dog, and everyone else are the cats. What inspires me to draw is myself. I'm also a proud LGBTQ+ member!

Hello! I'm Nora, and I love to draw. I have been drawing since I could hold a crayon and hope to be an artist some day! I love digital art and like drawing people, realism, hands, eyes, or just simple characters!

My piece is called Angry and it is inspired by the Scream by Edvard Munch. When I drew it, it brought back emotions and feelings from when my dog passed away on my birthday. When she died she was young and I thought she was going to live longer. I was so angry and I drew stuff in my classes to help me with my emotions. It helped me to get over it. I was also inspired by the movie Inside Out and the character anger. My sketch teacher taught me how to do dark and light shading with my art.

There wasn’t really a clear inspiration for this piece, but I’ll try to give a bit of a walk-through. The character is inspired by WOF -Wings Of Fire, which is a dragon book series and my artist persona. I have always had a love for willow and wisteria trees, and love artworks that showcase things like rivers, oceans and waterfalls. The title is partly inspired by the book The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe. This piece makes me feel at peace with the whole… flowy and mystical feel! :3
I spend my time learning about birds and taking care of my pet cockatiel named "Popcorn". Birds are fun to play with, can do cool tricks and are pretty. This drawing has two parts that inspire me. One, the bird can fly which represents going after my dreams of becoming an artist. Birds feathers individually are fragile but beautiful and powerful as they give them the ability to soar. Two, the sunset represents that even when something ends, there is still hope.

Vivian is a creative and imaginative drawing artist who brings ideas to life through her unique perspective and attention to detail. She enjoys expressing herself through sketches, using lines, shapes, and shading to tell stories and capture emotions. Her artwork reflects both her creativity and her growing confidence as an artist, making each piece a meaningful expression of how she sees the world.

From time to time, a specific fascination emerges from the back of my mind: what would various objects and animals look like if they were humans? How would they act as people? What kind of occupations would they take up within society? The term “gijinka” means to personify a non-human object or creature, and designing gijinkas has always been a source of exploration for me! I hope this inspires you to draw inspiration from various household items - they could make fascinating characters!

As a person who's always adored cats, the Bengal tiger is a feline I have always admired for it's majestic behavior and resplendent striped coat. My love for animals has awakened a passion inside that has driven me to create realistic animal portraits such as these. I hope this simple drawing can emphasize the beauty of the Bengal tiger.

When visiting Washington, DC, I took a photo similar to this perspective. I found it to be an interesting line of sight, framed by trees and ending at the Capitol Building. When coming up with a piece for the contest, I thought of the photo I took. Using it as a reference, I sketched out the drawing before finishing with watercolors and colored pencil. Seeing the city and all the details the make it up is inspiring, as it reminds the viewer that there is more to a city than just the landmarks.

My name is Charlotte and I love drawing animals. This drawing makes me feel good and I am proud of it. What inspires me is mostly nature and animals like big trees, cute foxes, and sometimes my pets. Another thing that inspires me is books! I LOVE reading and they really help give me ideas for drawings. One more thing that inspires me is other drawings and paintings.

This piece is a reflection of how life can seem so good and easy and put together but from the inside it’s hard and complicated. I feel like the soy sauce is like sudden tears in a way. Like how maybe it’s unexpected but happens anyway when you are overflowing with emotions. This piece was a painting my class did and I was really proud of it!

I love to draw and paint, and dance and play music, and read. I have always enjoy watching a pencil glide across a page as an image forms, taking shape and gathering emotion. Little lines ,some bold some soft, create the art we see, turning a blank paper or canvas into something beautiful. It is a truly incredible thing, the way we, as humans, see the world around us. Perspective is intriguing.
I have been an ongoing Outschool student for 5 years and been improving my animations ever since. What inspired me to make this animation was my love for music, as that is what got me into animation in the first place. I am really proud of how this animation turned out, since it took a whole month to complete all on my own.

Hi, I'm Kefira! This piece was inspired by my beloved bunny, Miss Baby Bunson (but we just call her Bunson). She passed away recently and I wanted to take this wonderful chance to honor her (rest in peace, Bun-Bun). She was a very sweet, lovable bunny and I feel that this artwork really captures her adorably curious self. I will cherish this piece forever and hang it in my room as soon as I get a frame!
